PUBG Corp. Opens Job Vacancies in India, a Sign of PUBG Mobile’s Return? PUBG Mobile was banned in India on September 2, 2021 yesterday along with 118 other Chinese apps.
In the seven weeks since that decision, there has been a lot of development going on behind the scenes at PUBG Corporation as developer, perhaps paving the way for PUBG Mobile’s long-awaited return to the country.
But recently there has been a glimmer of hope for the PUBG Mobile esports scene in India to bounce back because PUBG Corp has done something.

Earlier last month, it followed PUBG Mobile’s ban in India amid rising military tensions between India and China. PUBG Corp. took over the publisher rights for the game from Tencent in India.
PUBG Corp stated that they will be looking at ways to provide their own PUBG experience for India in the near future, indicating that they will be setting up their own office in the country of India.
After that, on 20 October, PUBG Corporation registered a job vacancy for ‘Enterprise Development Division Manager – India’.

One of the responsibilities for this position is “Supporting PUBG India setup process with guidance from HQ (e.g. Krafton Inc.)”, indicating that the game re-launch process in India is likely ongoing.
this clearly shows that PUBG Corporation is taking drastic steps to fulfill the wishes of the Indian government regarding data security and is working to regain its access to the Indian player base which is one of the countries with the largest number of PUBG Mobile players.
