Two Famous Streamers Banned Twitch For Sexual ASMR Content

GAMEFINITY.ID, Salatiga – Some time ago Twitch was heavily criticized for the controversy over the “Hot Tub, Pools, and Beach” category. Now, Twitch seems to be improving and reinforcing streamers who use sexual content.

Two streamers known for sexual content, Amouranth and Indiefoxx got banned from Twitch. The ban is temporary and valid from 18 June 2021 to 22 June 2021.

The reason why these two streamers got banned is that they were caught doing sexual ASMR content while wearing yoga attire.

This is a clear violation of Twitch’s rules, which strictly prohibits sexually explicit content.

Amouranth and Indiefoxx themselves are quite well known among the Twitch community for their sexual content which is often controversial. These two streamers are also often regarded as the culprits behind the popular “Hot Tub, Pools and Beach” stream.

In addition to streaming in sexy clothes, Amouranth often makes ASMR sound content that is too sexual. In his ASMR stream, Amouranth makes sexually arousing sounds such as licking the microphone, sighing, and so on.

The Amouranth content invites negative reactions from other female streamers. Because Amouranth’s content is considered to be degrading the self-esteem and dignity of female streamers.

Community Reactions and Twitch Streamers

Twitch’s decision to punish Amouranth and Indiefoxx certainly drew various reactions from the community and Twitch streamers.

One of the most famous streamers, xQc respond to this case from two perspectives. On the positive side he credits Twitch for punishing rogue streamers who are troubling the Twitch community.

But on the other hand, xQc criticized Twitch for being inconsistent in punishing rogue streamers.

xQc argues that sexual ASMR content and Hot Tub streams are both sexually suggestive and disturbing, so both must still be legal.

Famous World of Warcraft streamer, Asmongold also agree with xQc. He thinks Twitch’s rules are too abstract and easy for rogue streamers to take advantage of.

In addition, Asmongold also considers the tires that Amouranth and Indiefoxx received for 3 days are too light. So that the punishment does not leave a deterrent effect for naughty streamers.
