PG.Barracx Qualifies for CEG Dota 2 Pro Series, Australian Tournament with Prizes of IDR 535 Million

Multiple teams Dota 2 seems to have started to get busy again, even before the 2021-2021 season started. One of them is PG.Barracx which has successfully passed the Southeast Asia qualification for the CEG Dota 2 Pro Series. They will fly to Australia in December to fight for the total prize pool of AU$50,000 (approximately IDR 535 million).

The CEG Dota 2 Pro Series is a tournament that brings together eight teams from around the world. Two of the eight participants were invited teams, while the remaining six were drawn from qualifications in three separate regions, namely Southeast Asia, Australia and China. Each region gets two slots to the main tournament.

PG.Barracx itself followed the qualification for Southeast Asia. In the qualification, they had to compete with seven other teams, namely BOOM ID, EVOS Esports, Alpha Red, Khabul, Alter Ego, Battle Arena Elites, and Blackjack. These eight teams are divided into two bracket separately, and their respective winners bracket eligible to compete in Australia in December.

PG.Barracx itself managed to win the first round best of one faced Alter Ego, then managed to beat EVOS Esports 2-0 in the second round best of three and passed the qualification. Meanwhile in bracket Another Alpha Red managed to come out victorious and will accompany PG.Barracx.

The main round of the new CEG Dota 2 Pro Series will start from 7 to 9 December 2021. Until this news was published there has been no information regarding the invited teams or qualifications for other regions.
