The Son apologizes for boasting about the ELO rating of the Fan God

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The chaos between international chess influencer Levy Rozman aka GothamChess and a former employee who likes to play chess from Indonesia, Dadang Subur aka Dewa Fan, continues. From the Dewa Kipas account that was blocked, to finally GothamChess which blocked video access on the YouTube channel for Indonesian citizens. Recently, the son of Dewa Fan, Ali Akbar again clarified several things regarding this issue.

Through his post on Facebook, Ali apologizes for the noise caused in recent times, he is ready to take responsibility for everything that was said before, as well as correcting some misinformation regarding Dewa Fan. One of them is related to the father’s FIDE rating and ELO Rating.

Ali explained that Dadang Subur did not have a FIDE rating, because the tournaments that Dadang participated in in the past were only internal tournaments from the company, as well as regional tournaments that did not award titles.

“This is because Pak Dadang is a (Former) Jasindo Insurance Employee, and playing chess is just a hobby, not a real profession. But still a member of the Jasindo chess team.”

Regarding the ELO Rating, Ali also explained that Dadang Subur did not have an Elo rating of more than 2,500. The statement that was made, he admitted, was simply carried away by emotion and boasting.

“I carelessly said this, because Pak Dadang was already used to fighting bots with ELO 2500, and his PGN records were made. At first I thought it could be used as a reference.”

Not only that, Ali also clarified his previous statement, which stated that GothamChess fans had made mass reports on Dewa_Kipas accounts until their accounts were forfeited. Reports can only be made by players who are face to face, which means GothamChess is the one doing the reporting.

“The viewer only sends Hate Messages via in-app messaging within Chess-com. Then Dewa_Kipas account was blocked due to suspicious account statistics.”

Regarding the Indonesian region which is now blocked from all GothamChess videos, Ali also regrets that. The reason is, in fact the problem between his father and the chess player has been resolved, and Levy himself promised to hold a chess event that would involve chess players in Indonesia.

Even so, Ali dared to guarantee and insisted that Dewa Fan did not use bots or engines in his match against GothamChess some time ago. This is because I always see Pak Dadang playing, and he always explains the results of his games to himself.

“Mr. Dadang will also make a Conference Call with members of the INFO CATUR group, to explain his match with GothamChess, as well as abnormal Chess-com Account statistics.”
