The more successful, the Mobile Game income increased by 27 percent

Not only in developing countries, developed countries are also starting to like mobile games.

According to a study, global mobile gaming revenue experienced a significant increase to reach US$19.3 billion in the second quarter of 2021, up 27 percent from the previous year.

Reports made Craig Chapple from Sensor Tower also noted that revenue in the first half of this year, to be precise last May, had reached US$6.6 billion, up 21.5 percent from the previous year.

The top ranks of Mobile Game revenue in the second quarter were filled by PUBG Mobile, Honor of Kings, Monster Strike, Roblox, and Pokémon Go. In addition, Sensor Tower also said that Roblox and Fortnite are experiencing a surge in popularity on the mobile platform.

Roblox accumulated $302.8 million in the second quarter, up 58.8 percent from $190.7 million in the first quarter. Sensor Tower cites social distancing policies during the COVID-19 pandemic as the main reason for the increase.

Meanwhile, Fortnite became one of the best-selling games on the App Store in the second quarter, coinciding with the release of the Party Royale mode where players can attend virtual concerts and other events. The Epic dropout battle royale game has earned US$146.5 million, and that’s only through Apple devices.

For game installations, the top three countries that saw an increase in mobile game downloads were India, the United States, and Brazil. The most astonishing thing is India, the Bollywood country experienced an increase of almost one billion downloads compared to last year.
