Telkomsel Holds Dunia Games League 2021 To Improve The Ability of Indonesian Gamers

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Telkomsel continues to move forward affirming its commitment as an enabler in the country’s esports ecosystem through the implementation of the 2021 Dunia Games League (DGL).

Registration for the competition will be open starting April 16, 2021.

The presence of DGL for Indonesian esports lovers this year marks the third implementation after it was first held in 2021.

Telkomsel Marketing Director Rachel Goh said, “Telkomsel, through Dunia Games, is trying to open up more opportunities for online game fans from all over the country to hone their gaming skills and competitiveness even further.

The Dunia Games platform will allow gamers to share their interests, connect with each other, and collaborate to create a more holistic, engaging and thriving esports community and ecosystem.

The return of DGL this year is a manifestation of our passion and commitment to gamers and the gaming industry.”

“We are proud and happy to be able to present PUBG Mobile in the Dunia Games League for the second year in a row with Telkomsel as the largest telecommunications operator in Indonesia.

The collaboration between PUBG Mobile and Telkomsel through Dunia Games is not only to grow PUBG Mobile, but also to strengthen the esports community and the growth of the game industry in Indonesia.

Dunia Games League is an extraordinary platform for the esports ecosystem in Indonesia because this event is not only a competition for professional teams, but also opens up opportunities for amateur teams to show their playing skills and interest in PUBG Mobile by participating in the 2021 Dunia Games League.

To show our support for the 2021 Dunia Games League, we will provide a follow-up journey that will be taken by the winners of the 2021 Dunia Games League, because the two best participants from the 2021 Dunia Games League will be directly invited to the PUBG Mobile Indonesia National Championship 2021 Grand Final, ” said Oliver Ye, Director of PUBG Mobile Southeast Asia.

In the two previous events, DGL has succeeded in attracting tens of thousands of gamers from all over Indonesia to take part directly in the competition.

The series of matches from DGL which were broadcast live on YouTube also managed to attract the interest of millions of pairs of eyes.

Departing from the extraordinary enthusiasm shown by esports lovers from previous editions, Telkomsel again held DGL this year to reach more esports fans in all regions in Indonesia.

DGL 2021 continues the competition format in previous years by bringing together PUBG (Player Unknown Battleground) Mobile heroes from all over the country.

Registration is open from April 16 to May 31, 2021 and can be done online through the dgl.duniagames.co.id website.

Telkomsel targets the best 24 PUBG Mobile Professional Teams in Indonesia and 4,096 amateur teams from all regions in the country to participate in DGL 2021.

Participants will compete in the Qualifier and Play-Ins period which takes place from 5 June – 11 July 2021.

From there, the best participants will compete in the Grand Final round on 17-18 July 2021 to compete for a total prize of 600 million rupiah.

All matches are scheduled to be broadcast live via the Dunia Games & DGTV YouTube channel, the MAXstream application, and the dgl.duniagames.co.id website.

“DGL is one of the biggest events from Dunia Games apart from the Indonesia Games Championship (IGC).

We hope that DGL 2021 can open up more opportunities for gamers in Indonesia to explore the esports industry, both at the amateur and professional level.

That way, Indonesia can have more highly competitive talents in the esports field,” Rachel concluded.
