Sony Removes Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store, Offers Refunds
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store and is offering refunds to players who purchased it digitally. Through its official social media, Sony published the information with a link to the refund page on the PlayStation website.
“SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, which is why we will begin offering full refunds to all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 through the PlayStation Store,” Sony wrote on Twitter. @AskPlayStation·
The refund request page provides access to a form to fill out.
“SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store until further notice. Once we confirm that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 through the PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund. Please note that refund settlement may vary based on your payment method and financial institution.”
The highly anticipated CD Projekt Red game was released on December 10, after experiencing three delays. Although the PC version was mostly received positively despite the many bugs, the game’s performance on the last generation consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One received a lot of criticism from gamers and critics alike.
CD Projekt apologizes for the trouble console players are experiencing, and promises to improve the overall experience with an update that is scheduled for release in January and February 2021. CDPR also gives customers who don’t want to keep the game a chance to apply for a refund. Customers who have difficulty obtaining a refund are requested to contact CD Projekt Red for assistance via the email address helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com.
