Some Improvements That Marvel Avengers Bring to PS5 and Xbox Series

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Square Enix has detailed a number of improvements that the next generation of Marvel’s Avengers, PS5 and Xbox Series versions will bring. As explained in the official chart, the PS5 version of Avengers will feature two graphics modes: Highest-Performance Mode, which runs at 60fps and checkerboard 4K, or 4K Mode which runs at native 4K and possibly at a lower framerate.

Avengers PS5 improvements include higher resolution textures, better armor destruction, better ambient occlusion, haptic feedback, spatial audio, and more. This is in addition to previously confirmed features such as cross-gen play and storage, increased frame rates, and significantly faster load times.

Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X version is said to feature all of the same graphics enhancements as the PS5, except for Square Enix’s two graphics modes. The X Series is listed as “native 4K”, while the S Series runs at 1440p. Does not explain in detail what the X Series frame rate when running games.

Typically, Microsoft consoles have an advantage in this area, at least in terms of improved backward compatibility, possibly because of the restrictions around how Sony consoles handle legacy updates. If Xbox really doesn’t have a PS5 graphics mode, it’s likely because of the global PlayStation marketing deal Square Enix has signed for Avengers.

Square Enix will release the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Marvel’s Avengers along with the new Hawkeye DLC on March 18, 2021.
