Review of Rexus DAXA Air II, Ultralight Gaming Mouse with Super Accuracy

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Having a mouse that is lightweight but with super accuracy is the dream of PC gamers. Rexus is trying to fulfill the need for that dream mouse, with its newest product, the DAXA Air II. This latest product is part of the premium mouse product line from Rexus. Prior to the DAXA Air II, Rexus also owned the DAXA Air, DAXA Pro Wireless, and DAXA Air Wireless.

Rexus gave GAMEFINITY.ID the opportunity to try out the DAXA Air II gaming mouse at the product launch. When playing Counter Strike: Global Offensive, we immediately felt some of the main advantages of this ultralight gaming mouse. Yes, the light mouse itself does support players of the FPS genre game.

Curious about the discussion? Just take a peek at the following GAMEFINITY.ID-style review details.

When unboxing the product, we found the DAXA Air II Mouse well packaged and professional. There is a user manual, spare cover, magnetic buttons for weights, 3 rubber DPI buttons, 1 set of premium mouse feet, 1 exclusive pouch, DAXA sticker and warranty card. The DAXA Air II that we are reviewing this time is white. During the promo period, in the packaging package, an additional cover is available as a complement.

Compared to its predecessor, the DAXA Air II is slimmer and smaller, with a width and length difference of about 3 mm. With the smaller size, this mouse is suitable for “claw” or “tip” hand positions that prioritize the role of the fingertips to operate the buttons. This position is very suitable for playing FPS genre games.

The base cover on the DAXA Air II has hexagonal holes to minimize the weight of this mouse. This cover can be exchanged for a solid cover without holes. Adopting the honeycomb mouse model which is currently a trend, the dimensions of the DAXA Air II 2 are made more compact, with improvements to the scroll material. The use of a wider PTFE mousefeet also supports smoother mouse movements.

Feature

The DAXA Air II still offers honeycomb, as a way to reduce the overall weight of the mouse. With a fairly light weight, about 63 grams of this mouse can be added weight by inserting the magnetic buttons available in the package. The purpose of the weight gain is to find the right movement and “drip” for each user.

Equipped with swappable cover technology, this mouse can be customized according to the user’s wishes, by replacing the mouse case cover with another color. We ourselves got an additional orange mouse cover skin, with a choice of blue casing color which is sold separately.

Talking about a gaming mouse, it can’t be separated from the quality of the sensor. The DAXA Air II is equipped with the latest sensor series, the PIXART PMW3389. This series is a series of high-end sensors from PIXART embedded in a wired mouse. This mouse is also supported by 32 BIT ARM MCU for faster control and superb accuracy when playing games.

The DAXA Air II still relies on the Omron-branded switch. This type of switch used can last up to 20 million clicks, with OF technology which makes the spring switch still have the same bouncing power on all buttons even though the intensity of pressing the button is different.

The DAXA Air II uses a lightweight and flexible Paracord cable. In contrast to the mouse cable in general, the cable from the DAXA Air II is also innovatively made to look like a shoelace. This revolutionary cable type has high flexibility and strength but is light in weight. This cable is also not easily deformed or deformed so it is not easy to tangle.

Experience

When we tried the FPS game Counter Strike GO, we felt the excellent acceleration and accuracy presented by the DAXA Air II. This makes the DAXA Air II the preferred gaming mouse with optimal mouse movement features. To support its movement, this mouse is equipped with a sensor that has a speed level of up to 400 inches per second (IPS) and acceleration of up to 40G.

Below the scroll, there is a button to set the mouse DPI. There are 6 default DPI levels i.e., 400-800-1200-2400-3200-6400. The DPI can also be expanded using the software up to 16000. In addition to left, right and middle click (scroll), the mouse also has forward and backward buttons, which can make it easier for users to browse.

Another advantage of the DAXA Air II gaming mouse is that this product is equipped with a weight inside the mouse so that users can adjust the weight according to the wishes and types of gamers. With metal buttons that can be attached to the mouse. With this load regulation system, the weight of the mouse can be adjusted around 63-84 grams. How to install metal buttons is also quite easy, just remove the swap cover and place the button in the middle of the mouse.

DAXA Air II has 10 RGB LED effect modes that can be selected according to taste. The initial LED setting is Running RGB (Chroma). The settings can be done manually using software. There are 3 choices of polling rate levels, 125-500-1000 Hz (response duration of 1 micro second). This level can be adjusted directly on the button at the bottom of the mouse.

Like other premium mice, Daxa Air II is equipped with on-board memory stored in its MCU. With this memory, the settings for the Macro mouse feature can be stored in the mouse system and can be directly applied according to the settings profile.
