PUBG Mobile vs Free Fire, Which is Smoother to Run on Potatoes?

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Speaking of battle royale games, PUBG Mobile and Free Fire can be called the two favorite games at the moment. Both games can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Both games also offer interesting game modes apart from battle royale matches, which gamers can enjoy.

The fact is that not all mobile gamers are supported by smartphone gaming devices. The two games themselves don’t actually require a high-end smartphone with certain specifications to run. Some low-end smartphones, aka potato cellphones, can also run both games, although of course not as smoothly as when played on high-end smartphones.

GAMEFINITY.ID tries to explore the game’s compatibility with low-end Android devices. Three things to consider are RAM, operating system (OS), and storage space.

1. RAM

Both games require a phone with at least 2 GB of RAM to run smoothly. 4 GB RAM is recommended for a good gaming experience.

2. OS

For Free Fire, Android version 4.1 and above is required. The Google Play Store itself doesn’t mention the Android requirements for PUBG Mobile, saying “Varies by device”. While iOS 9.0 or later is required to run PUBG Mobile on the Apple version. iOS 8.0 is the minimum requirement for Free Fire.

3. Storage

This aspect is a key factor in determining which game is more suitable for potato HP. The latest PUBG Mobile update is quite surprising because the download size of the mobile game was reduced to 610 MB. This gives owners of low-end devices a chance to enjoy the popular battle royale game. While the Free Fire download size is 680 MB, aka more space than PUBG Mobile.

Conclusion

After the last update, low-end HP owners seem to be able to play PUBG Mobile more smoothly than Free Fire. However, they may experience lag issues in gameplay. One solution is to reduce the quality of the game’s graphics to improve the gameplay.
