Yup, the competition that features the world championship regarding Pokemon games had to be postponed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

In the official announcement, they said that the safety of players, organizers, employees, local communities, and partners should be a top priority at this time.

Pokemon World Championships 2021 had to be postponed

After careful review and in accordance with the guidelines set by national health authorities as well as the World Organization and several other parties, they have made the difficult decision to postpone this event until 2022.

This event is still planned to take place in London, England.

So, Pokemon events such as League Challenge, League Cup, Premier Challenge, and Midseason Showdown will be postponed until further notice.
