MAX Alpha Series Free Fire Battlegrounds Tournament with a Total Prize of 50 Million Rupiah

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – In the midst of a pandemic that is hitting Indonesia, various activities have to be physically and socially limited. In these uncertain conditions, esports shows its existence as modern entertainment and competition that remains valid under any conditions.

Even some far more traditional sports have opted for esports as a way out in the midst of a pandemic. For example, the F1 race, MotoGP, and Nascar, which switch to official games that have been licensed by their respective associations.

In order to maintain the esports ecosystem that is developing and in line with all the facts above, Metaco decided to again hold an online tournament, this time titled MAX (Metaco Arena Xperience) Alpha Series. The first game that was appointed was Garena Free Fire, which also happens to be known as the most popular battle royale game in Indonesia.

MAX Alpha Series Free Fire Battlegrounds will use a fully online tournament format. It is estimated that this tournament will attract the attention of thousands of professional and amateur Free Fire teams from all over Indonesia. Metaco MAX Alpha Series registration itself will take place from April 10, 2021 to April 17, 2021 at: https://forms.gle/maZQsJrfmjBEaSp86.

From the thousands of registered teams, 1,728 teams will be selected which will be divided into three qualifying groups. Each qualifying group will bring together 576 teams which are divided into 48 groups. The top team from each group will advance to the next round.

In the second preliminaries, 48 teams will fight each other, leaving only 4 teams. The remaining four teams will be combined with four invited teams and two wild card teams (10 teams in total) in the third round.

The two teams that get access to the wild card are the favorite teams chosen by the audience who do not qualify for the preliminary round. So every team that was unlucky in the second qualifier still has one more chance.

From the three preliminary rounds, 12 teams emerged from each qualifying group. The 12 teams will compete in the MAX Alpha Final which will take place in July 2021.

“We don’t think there is a concrete reason that can hinder the growth of the esports ecosystem and all of its achievements in Indonesia. Even though the whole world is being affected by a pandemic, as long as there is a passion for achievement, there will always be a way. This is what we want to convey to the esports ecosystem in Indonesia through the MAX Alpha Series,” said Iskandar Ramli as CEO of Metaco.
