Celebrating 40 Years of Pac-Man, Bandai Namco Launches Content Collaboration with NBA

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. has partnered with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to launch a variety of Pac-Man game content. This collaboration also marks the 40th anniversary of Pac-Man.

Launched on December 22, 2021 or coinciding with the tip-off of the 2021/2021 season, Pac-Man mobile game players on iOS and Android can now access NBA-style Pac-Man game content. Players can play 30 adventure levels with special NBA-themed mazes named after NBA clubs such as the Orlando Magic, New York Knicks, to the Golden State Warriors. Players can also use various power-ups with a basketball theme.

Later gamers can collect NBA cards that are obtained after completing levels in Adventure. In addition, gamers can also exchange the unique Pac-Man skin for an NBA headband worth 25 tokens or purchase it via in-game purchases, which can be accessed at certain times.

Meanwhile, NBA Senior Vice President and Global Partnerships Matt Holt said he was very pleased with the partnership.

This year 2021 indeed marks 40 years of the classic Arcade game. Launched on May 22, 1980, Pac-Man’s popularity skyrocketed and has its own community that exists to this day. Pac-Man can be downloaded on the App Store and Play Store for free, with in-game purchases.
