New PUBG MPL South Asia 2021 Format
The South Asia Regional PUBG Mobile Pro League (MPL) game tournament will be held differently. PUBG’s new format is to hold matches online.
Impressions of this International Esports competition will also be broadcast live via platform social media.
This is fairly new. The reason is, PUBG MPL tournaments are usually held online offline. There are millions of people watching. Both from the supporters of the two competing teams or also indeed lovers of the game.
Tencent and PUBG Corporation agreed to change the tournament format due to the widespread spread of the corona virus. Of course, there are fears that the tournament will become a place for the virus to spread.
“The health and safety of players and staff is our top priority,” said a Tencent spokesperson.
In addition to changing the tournament format, Tencent and PUBG Corporation also changed the match schedule. Initially, the PUBG MPL South Asia tournament opened on March 12. It has now been pushed back to March 19.
This tournament will be a gateway for ESports teams from South Asia to step into a bigger event, namely PUBG Mobile World League.
