The fear of their children being addicted to online games is the reason why residents of RT 04 RW 01 Balapulang Wetan Village, Balapulang District, Tegal Regency made this unique thing. They made a place called the educative street.

An Educational Way in the style of the Villagers of Balapulang

This educational street is located in an alley in the RT. In this alley, there are various pictures of traditional games, ranging from zig zag running, sloping roads, snakes and ladders, climbing, creeping, playing congklak, playing simbar, jintot, gotri, Jangka, until sigog is in the alley.

This gang was created in 2021 and the idea was initiated by 3 mothers, with the aim that children are not addicted to online games.

“Initially motivated by colorful alleys so that the environment is more lively and beautiful to look at. Now people like to take selfies. This creates a colorful alley. However, since the outbreak of COVID-19, children have to hold cellphones for online learning at home. They need to be refreshed with games that make the move,“said one resident.

The capital for painting is collected from the results of donations from residents. Painting or drawing roads is done directly by mothers and assisted by other residents.
