Microsoft Store Alerts Cyberpunk 2077 Performance Constraints
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The Cyberpunk 2077 game on the Microsoft Store digital game store is now labeled with a warning about potential performance issues on the Xbox One. A number of players have reported numerous bugs and performance issues with Cyberpunk 2077 since its launch last week, especially on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.
“Users may experience performance issues when playing this game on the Xbox One console until this game is updated,” the warning reads, as quoted from The Verge, Sunday (12/20/2021).
The dissatisfaction led game developer CD Projekt Red to quickly issue a statement suggesting that disgruntled players try to get refunds for the game. Many players have really had a hard time getting refunds, given Sony and Microsoft’s usually strict policies on issuing digital game refunds.
However, since Thursday night (17/12), that has changed. Sony began offering a full refund of “Cyberpunk 2077” pulling the game completely from the PlayStation Store Thursday night. Microsoft also started offering full refunds on digital sales, but the game remains in the Microsoft Store. However, now a warning label appears on the game.
CD Projekt Red has so far released two post-launch hotfixes to help improve game performance. There are also two larger patches in the works for January and February that will fix the “most prominent issues” players have seen on the last generation of consoles (PS4 and Xbox One).
