MassHive Media Delays Release of Local Game Potion Permit
GAMEFINITY.ID, Bandung City — On August 6 to 13, PQube Limited together with MassHive Media held an alpha test of the game Potion Permit, a local RPG game with the theme of chemists. The alpha test aims to get feedback from players about the game products they develop in order to improve the quality and level of player satisfaction when the product is released.
The alpha test that had been held previously was quite successful various feedbacks indicating that this game still needs further development to reach the final product that players deserve.
I myself as a writer who had taken the alpha test felt some things that were quite disturbing. As an example at the beginning of the game, this game uses a control mapping that is not common to play in general. I myself was confused and several times I pressed the interaction button wrong. In addition to these issues, I also felt the character’s movement was slow and found bugs such as characters breaking through map boundaries in bathhouses in the city.
Not only me, it turns out that many participants who took part in other alpha tests also found various bugs and problems that interfered with their User Experience when playing the game. Starting from unusual controls, characters running slowly, balancing system problems, or character bugs that are able to penetrate map boundaries as I mentioned earlier.
With the various feedbacks provided by Alpha Tester, PQube and MassHive are now planning to postponed the release schedule to 2022 in order to form a more feasible game development so that players can get the best experience when playing this game called Potion Permit.
