Last of Us Part II is specially designed to attract disabled players

You’ve probably used various game controllers over the years, so game mechanics like shooting and aiming can be done naturally. But have you forgotten that not everyone can do it that easily? especially the disabled.

But nothing is impossible as long as we mean it, Naughty Dog has proven this. Last of Us Part II, the publisher’s newest game can be played only on a sound basis. Naughty Dog has implemented a series of audio triggers that allow visually impaired players to survey their environment, find items, and battle their enemies. The text-to-speech option becomes very crucial because every item or item found will be read by the in-game narrator.

For those with partial blindness, or other visual impairments, there is a high contrast mode that assigns a unique color code to each character and setting.

Enemies are shown in red and friends in blue while place backgrounds are grayed out. There is also a feature to zoom in on certain elements using the touchpad, similar to the zoom mechanism on a smartphone.

There is even an option to slow down the tempo of the game, this will really help those who don’t have perfect motor functions so they can still enjoy the game. The deceleration rate on this feature can be adjusted as needed, this is a great feature.

All of these features can be combined and modified according to the player’s wishes, even the highest difficulty level can be applied if the player wants it. The point is that Naughty Dog does not provide any limitations, all features can be arranged in such a way that anyone can enjoy the game.

When players open the accessibility interface, there will be a message saying if Sony takes data about how players use the feature, that data will later be used so other games can follow Naughty Dog’s steps.

Naughty Dog has given hope to those who previously could not enjoy the game. And now, everyone can experience the excitement of adventuring as Ellie in Last of Us Part II.
