Konami eFootball.League 2021/21 Season Officially Opens
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Konami Digital Entertainment Limited today announced that the 2021-21 season of eFootball.League has kicked off with the eFootball.Open division. This tournament accepts contestants of all ability levels. Like last season, the series is divided into two divisions: eFootball.Pro, an exclusive elite competition for professional football clubs, and eFootball.Open, an amateur tournament open to all players.
“It is an honor for me that the new season of eFootball.Pro has started. eFootball.Pro is a professional league where esports players compete as representatives of real European football clubs, with 3 players per club fighting to win with the club’s support. I can’t wait to see an exciting match that will captivate both PES and football fans around the world during this season,” said Gerard Pique, Barcelona player and founder of eFootball.Pro and Esports Media Right.
The complete list of clubs participating in the eFootball.League this season is as follows:
- FC Barcelona
- Manchester United FC
- FC Bayern Munich
- Juventus
- Arsenal FC
- Celtic FC
- FC Schalke 04
- AS Monaco
- AS Roma
- Galatasaray SK
After a successful run last season, eFootball.Open garnered more than 1.4 million tournament participants worldwide. Starting today, all eFootball PES 2021 SEASON UPDATE (PES 2021) console or mobile players will be able to participate in the Online Qualifiers.
Players in PES 2021 LITE, freshly released or free to play, can now also sign in to eFootball.Open, ensuring its position as one of the most accessible esports tournaments worldwide. Contestants with the highest performance in each round will be able to continue to advance and finally be selected to compete in the World Finals in July 2021.
eFootball.Open is available to all users and takes place on select Matchday events using the default team. Meet the requirements at each stage of the tournament to earn eFootball Points*, a new type of currency that can be exchanged for various in-game bonuses, such as Legendary Iconic Moments. Furthermore, during the Online Qualifying Round 1 of 7 December, all users can earn more eFootball Points in addition to the regular prizes. The higher the innings a user enters, the more eFootball Points they earn.
To celebrate the start of the new season, all users signed into PES 2021 or PES 2021 LITE can claim 10,000 eFootball Points. More points can be earned by engaging in various eFootball League activities and redeeming them with selected Iconic Moment Series players.
With a total of over 15 million viewers during the 2021/20 season, eFootball.Pro returns for a new season on December 12 with professional esports players representing some of the biggest football clubs in the world. Continuing the mid-season change due to the ongoing pandemic, Matchday eFootball.Pro during the 2021/21 regular season will be played online in 3v3 CO-OP matches.
“MVP” and “Top Goal-Scorer” awards will be awarded to individual players after each Matchday, with additional cash prizes for clubs based on final rankings at the end of the season. As before, the eFootball.Pro clubs will be the same as those appearing in the eFootball.Open tournaments, so that all get a chance to climb the table and be considered for every club that joins their professional esports team.
By watching the Featured Match (Bayern vs Juventus) on eFootball.Pro via the promotional website, users will have the opportunity to earn 300 eFootball Points. eFootball PES 2021 SEASON UPDATE is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC STEAM, including backwards compatibility on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. PES Global Ambassadors Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford and Alphonso Davies appear on the cover of the Standard Edition.
