JD.ID High School League 2021 Season 2 Officially Rolls Out
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The inter-high school esports league in Indonesia, JD.lD High School League (JD.ID HSL) 2021 has officially rolled into the season 2nd competition. The pioneer of student esports leagues in the country who are consistently and fully committed to building the future achievements of the Indonesian esports world by involving the world of education (teachers, students, and parents of students) has definitely established itself as a league that is increasingly accepted and in demand by the world of formal education. .
“The interest of the world of education to compete in JD.lD HSL shows an increasing trend. If in the first competition season 223 SMA/SMK esports teams participated, for the second season this year the number of participating SMA/SMK esports teams increased to 298. Each consists of 16 esports teams that have passed the previous qualification (SERI A team residents ), 124 teams participated in the DOTA 2 competition qualification this season, and 158 teams participated in the PUBG Mobile exhibition competition. They come from 71 cities throughout Indonesia and the farthest team is the Esports Team of SMA Mandala Triloka Papua,” said Christian Suryadi, Business Development Director of JD.ID HSL.
The trend that continues to be positive from season to season, according to Diana, also strengthens the commitment of JD.ID HSL organizers to continue to educate about the potential of the world of esports in the education world in the country.
“The purpose of holding JD.ID HSL is not only to invite high school/vocational students to take part in online game competitions with attractive prizes. However, the main essence of the JD.ID HSL that we organize is to provide the right education about the existence of a new industry called esports that offers great economic potential in the digital era. However, the magnitude of this potential can only be realized if the parties involved are really serious, have character and integrity, and are strongly committed. For that, we choose the world of education as the best partner in synergizing to realize this goal,” said Christian.
Christian said that the initial effort to synergize with the world of education was not an easy matter. This is related to the public perception, especially among educators and parents, which is still inaccurate about the world of esports which is still associated with laziness in learning and addiction to playing games.
“Therefore, at the beginning of JD.ID HSL, our focus was to provide education about esports as part of an achievement sport that requires intelligence and fitness, esports as a new digital creative industry that offers enormous economic potential, to providing education about esports. from the perspective of psychology and character development of children,” he said. “While continuing to provide education regarding these matters, starting from this second competition season, our focus is increasing on education on how to build strategic coaching for sustainable achievement in school esports teams.”
Reflecting on the previous season’s competition, the consistency of maintaining the achievements achieved in the previous session is still one of the biggest challenges faced by most high school/vocational esports teams.
“We hope that the consistent achievements that SMA Marsudirini Bekasi can achieve can be an inspiration and interesting case studies for other teams on how to build a sustainable coaching system. This is important, considering that the members of the school esports team will always change along with the old team that will graduate from school,” added Christian.
Marsudirini High School, which at the beginning of the 2021 competition was ranked third in the DOTA 2 competition, managed to rise to first place in the following competition season. In this second JD.ID HSL 2021 season, SMA Marsudirini Bekasi is the top seed for the DOTA 2 category and must be prepared to accept challenges from tough esports teams from other SERIES A residents, as well as 4 new teams that have successfully passed the DOTA 2 qualification which was followed. by 124 Tim.
For the PUBG Mobile exhibition competition category, as many as 158 registered teams will take part in 4 rounds of qualification. As many as 20 of the best PUBG Mobile teams from the qualifying rounds are entitled to compete in the main round.
“One of the unique regulations of JD.ID HSL that we continue to maintain is the registration procedure and competition. Teams who wish to participate must first obtain official approval from the school. When competing, from the qualifying round to the final, they must be accompanied by a coaching teacher,” added Christian.
The total prizes up for grabs for JD.ID HSL 2021 season 2 of this 2nd competition is IDR 410,000,000. Prizes in the form of scholarships will be distributed to the winning school esports team.
