In just one week, Sony managed to sell 1.4 million units of PS5

Just one week for Sony to break the sales record for their latest console, the PS5. They were able to sell it up to 1.4 million units.

The latest console made by Sony, the PlayStation 5, has been released to the market since mid-June. His presence was greeted enthusiastically by game fans. The high enthusiasm of the fans caused the stock of this console to run out on the market.

Reported from kompas.com, not a month before Sony launched its PS5, they have been able to sell more than 1.48 million units. This number beat the PS4 sales figure in the same period, which was 116 thousand units.

Previously, Microsoft also released two of their newest consoles, namely the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S with sales figures reaching 1.34 million units. With the difference in numbers that are not too large, Microsoft can compete with Sony in terms of sales. However, this number represents sales of two types of Microsoft consoles.

Sony itself divided the launch of the PlayStation 5 into two stages, namely on November 12 and November 19, 2021. On November 12, this console was only available in several countries, such as North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. This is certainly different from Microsoft, which has released their console on November 10 in 40 different countries.

By looking at the various things above, of course the PS5 can be considered the best-selling console of all time.
