The company Neuralink and Elon Musk have finally shown the results of months of experimentation by showing a video showing a monkey controlling a video game using his mind.

In the video, a monkey named Pager is shown who six weeks ago had a chip implanted into his brain. The pager is given a joystick connected to the video game, which he will later use to move the cursor over the colored squares. And every time Pager managed to do that, Pager was given his favorite banana juice.

The activity performed by the pager is recorded by a chip which is then sent to a computer to later analyze its hand movements. Then Neuralink unplugged the joystick and the game cursor was still moving according to what Pager was thinking.

Experiments For Humanity

Neuralink said that this experiment was conducted to help paralysis sufferers to be able to carry out their normal activities using their brains. And Musk explained in a tweet on his Twitter account that the first product from Neuralink will be able to help people with disabilities using smartphones.
