Cyberpunk 1.2 Patch Makes Over 500 Graphics, Stability and More Improvements

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – CD Projekt has released patch notes for Cyberpunk 2077’s 1.2 update. Over 500 improvements are included in the second major fix of the game.

Patch 1.2 was originally due to be released in February debgab fixing a myriad of important issues on the last generation console versions. But its release was delayed until the end of March after the studio fell victim to a hacker attack.

On Monday (29/3/2021) the Polish developer published a complete list of changes set to be included in patch 1.2, which includes bug fixes, graphics improvements and stability improvements. Patch 1.2 is now available for PC and console ahead of Stadia’s launch later this week.

Graphically, players on all platforms get improvements in the quality of detailed materials, interior and exterior light sources, remote rendering of textures, and much more. For the PC version, ray tracing will be enabled for AMD cards via the latest GPU drivers.

On the console version, CD Projekt says it has fixed some game crashes, memory issues, and improved screen space reflection. Lastly, major bug fixes include a new ‘not stuck’ feature, changes to NPCs reacting to blocked traffic lanes, and fixes for an event where a car is about to be launched into the air or teleported during a mission.

CD Projekt claims there are “much more” changes that are not specified. In a previous development update earlier this month, CD Projekt outlined some of the upcoming upgrades for Cyberpunk 2077.

First, police responses to criminal activity are being adjusted so that first responders take longer to appear at the crime scene. The authorities will now also send a reconnaissance unit to assess the situation.

Patch 1.2 will also reduce the incidence of unwanted character dodge, which CD Projekt says has resulted in more than “4,000 deaths” of players over the past month.

The Cyberpunk 1.1 update launched in January, adding various stability improvements related to memory usage, crashes, search bugs, performance, and visual issues. CD Projekt in December 2021 has released a roadmap for future Cyberpunk 2077 updates, including DLC and updates for the next-gen console for free.
