Capcom Reveals 3 Latest Screenshots of Resident Evil Village

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – After some details of Resident Evil Village were leaked by hackers, Capcom officially shared the latest developments of the survival horror game. To IGN, Capcom revealed three new screenshots exclusively.

Peter Fabiano, the producer of Resident Evil Village, said the game will be released in 2021, although the details of the date have not been revealed. Previously, hackers also leaked the release schedule for Resident Evil Village, which is scheduled to launch in April 2021.

“We feel like this is an accumulation of all the best elements from Resident Evil games over the last 25 years, with everything that survival horror fans love infused with action plus new surprises. Of course, there are many puzzles to solve and mysteries to unravel.”

The first screenshot shows a furry creature wielding a large hammer and covered in blood. This possibility is one of the enemies that will be faced by Ethan Winters, the main protagonist of the game.

The second screenshot shows a castle against the backdrop of the sun. There were crows flying around the castle. This is a sign of the possible return of the crowd that had disappeared in Resident Evil 7.

While the last picture shows a creature resembling a werewolf. This creature itself is predicted to be the latest element of the game, and had appeared in the game’s first trailer during the PlayStation 5 reveal.

“We hope fans will enjoy exploring the remote and snowy village where Resident Evil Village takes place, where new enemies in the series are waiting for them.”

Players will once again take control of Ethan Winters, continuing the setting several years after the events of Resident Evil 7. Capcom claims the new technology allows developers to engage players in games in ways that were not possible before.

“We hope this will be the most thrilling Resident Evil game to date.”

Resident Evil Village is planned to be released for the next generation console, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S. Even so, Resident Evil Village producer Tsuyoshi Kanda at the Tokyo Game Show last September had revealed Capcom’s plans to launch this game on the last generation console, PS4 and Xbox One.

As previously reported, on November 2nd, the Capcom network suffered a ransomware attack from an unauthorized third party. A number of classified information has been stolen in the process. Hackers also leaked that RE8 will be released on PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
