Call of Duty informant leaks PS5 price and release date
One more rumor about the PlayStation 5, but this time it comes from a character who is quite trustworthy.
The topic of the price of the PlayStation 5 console always comes up in the chats of gamers lately. Sony as the publisher of the console has not yet confirmed the exact price of the latest console. So far there have only been rumors and speculations from a few figures.
However, this morning, a Call of Duty informant uploaded a tweet about PLAyStation 5. Unlike the speculations that had come out previously, Tom Henderson provided price details until the PlayStation 5 release date.
According to Henderson, the PlayStation 5 will be priced at US$499 or around Rp. 7.2 million. He also said the console will be released November 14 in Japan and November 20 worldwide. Keep in mind, there is no solid evidence or source for Henderson’s claims other than his own reputation, this could only be speculation.
Fans first got their hands on the PS5 console and its lineup of games on June 11. This means that almost a month has passed, which is why many are hoping that Sony will make another announcement regarding the PS5 console. On the other hand, its main competitor, Xbox Series X, has been introduced since December last year, but the new Xbox game showcase will be on display on July 23.
If you consider the track record of price battles between Sony and Microsoft in the previous generation, Sony has an advantage because it releases the price of the PS4 console later. When Microsoft announced the Xbox One price at US$499, the next day Sony immediately released the official PS4 price at US$399. It is very likely that currently both companies are holding back on console price announcements because they don’t want to be missed by their competitors.
There’s no word yet on Microsoft’s or Sony’s plans, but the console price fray between the two companies is bound to come to an end. For now, we can only continue to wait for the next generation console information.
