BLAST will host the last Valorant Ignition Series in Europe

BLAST Twitch Valorant Invitational is the last Ignition Series tournament in Europe, will G2 Esports win again?

The organizer of a major Danish esports tournament, BLAST, which previously focused heavily on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and began to explore Dota2, is now confirmed to be the host of the last Ignition Series Valorant tournament in the European region.

Titled the BLAST Twitch Valorant Invitational, the tournament will feature four of the best teams in Europe who will compete over three days for a prize pool of US$59,000.

The tournament will be joined by the king of Valorant from Europe, G2 Esports, the newly formed roster of Team Liquid, FunPlus Phoenix, and Ninjas in Pajamas.

Previously, BLAST had established themselves as one of the main CS:GO tournament organizers after recently daring to host a Dota 2 event titled Bounty Hunt in July 2021. The BLAST Twitch Valorant Invitational will also be their first Valorant event. which will be broadcast exclusively via Twitch.



All eyes will be on G2 Esports as the tournament favorites as they have won every Ignition Series tournament in Europe so far. If they are able to win this BLAST Twitch Valorant Invitational, Mixwell et al will be the only European team capable of conquering the Ignition Series tournament in their region.

The tournament will also feature Valorant’s new META after patch 1.07, where Sage gets a significant nerf and Vandal gets a drastic buff.

The BLAST Twitch Valorant Invitational will take place from September 11 to 13, 2021, with the opening match between FunPlus Phoenix and Ninjas in Pajamas.
