Animal Crossing: New Horizon Brings Dream Island and Fireworks

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Animal Crossing: New Horizon Summer Update – Wave 2 is coming on July 30th. This update includes a fireworks display, Dream Island, and the Island Backup and Restoration feature.

The weekly fireworks display event in this update can be followed every Sunday at 7 pm during the month of August. In this event, players can exchange Bells for raffle tickets to get various festival items. Players can also create and upload their own fireworks designs.

The next update is Dream Island, where players can choose to visit or visit another island in a dream. The difference with visiting other islands through multiplayer is that whatever the player does is not permanent, so there are no consequences and players are free to explore other players’ islands.

To be able to visit other islands, players need to be Nintendo Switch Online members and have the “Dream Address” of the player they want to visit.

Furthermore, to accommodate the absence of a function for saving data to the cloud, Nintendo added the Island Backup and Restoration feature.

This feature allows Nintendo Switch Online members to upload island information and user save data to the internet, so that in case of damage to the Switch, Nintendo customer service can restore user data.

Unlike the function of saving data to the cloud, Island Backup and Restoration only applies if the Switch is lost or damaged. Nintendo itself plans to add a feature for data transfer to other Switch systems in the future.
