Twitch and Facebook Gaming Increase 80% of Watch Hours at the Beginning of a Pandemic

GridGames.ID – Public interest in the game streaming platforms Twitch and Facebook Gaming increased significantly during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Many people choose to avoid crowds and outdoor activities by watching game streamers on Twitch and Facebook Gaming.
According to reports from StreamElements and Rainmaker.gg, Twitch and Facebook Gaming managed to increase broadcast hours by 80% at the start of the pandemic in March 2021.

In its report, StreamElements revealed that Facebook Gaming managed to significantly increase its watch hours by around 79% year over year.
Meanwhile, Twitch’s broadcast hours grew by 82%.
At the beginning of the pandemic in March 2021, Twitch managed to attract people to watch as much as 1.1 billion hours and Facebook Gaming managed to get 291 million broadcast hours.
