One of the long-awaited triple-A games, Remember Me was finally released on June 6, 2021, this Action-adventure genre game was developed by Developer Dontnod Entertainment with publisher Capcom. Judging from the title, the game that features a female protagonist named Nilin tries to introduce a ‘memory remixing’ system, where we will be able to enter and have access to manage or even steal a target’s memory for various things we want.

Remember Me is a third person action game that takes place in Paris. Nilin is one of the Errorist prisoners imprisoned in the Bastille Fortress, the memory of Nilin’s previous life has been almost completely erased by the Errorist, and during the last process of cleaning Nilin’s memory, a mysterious sound was heard from Nilin’s communication device, and it turned out that the source of the voice was a man named Edge, a leader from Errorist who knows that Nilin has advantages in athletics and martial arts and special ability to be able to access and manage other people’s memories, then Edge helps Nilin escape from the prison to find his identity again.

Remember Me’s gameplay will take you to various combat platformer, exploration, and melee actions. Nilin will carry out missions that take place in the futuristic city of Paris, named Neo-Paris where you will be able to perform various acrobatic actions ranging from jumping through narrow alleys and climbing pipes. Acting as Nilin, you will steal various memories from certain targets, and to replay those memories Nilin will need a point called Remembranes. These memories have a very important role to be able to avoid enemy dangers and still be able to continue the game.

Remember Me has a combat combo system called “Pressens” which has 4 types of fighting moves, namely, Regen, Power, Chain, and Cooldown. You can make a combination of combo combinations through the Combo Lab menu with a chain system, which will be unlocked if you get PMP throughout the game. Although there are only 4 moves in Pressens, Nilin will also have additional special abilities that can be activated when the Focus Gauge is filled by performing a combat landing strike action. Dontnod also said that you can get up to 50,000 combinations of Pressens, with these combos you can make Nilin more powerful, among others, with combos that can kill a bunch of enemies at once, move quickly and more easily to kill enemy targets, or turn enemy robots into allies and then destroy themselves.

Remixing memory, which will be one of Nilin’s skills, will be the core of Remember Me’s gameplay. Nilin can change a person’s memory, so that he can change people’s minds about his memory in the past, and that will be an advantage for Nilin in carrying out her missions. When you access someone’s memory, you may find some oddities or glitches that you can edit or manipulate or remix. Every memory detail will have glitches that sometimes make the remixing process not run perfectly.

The platforming side of Remember Me is known as the traversal mechanic, the platforming action performed by Nilin also looks natural when climbing the edge of a wall, hanging on a pipe, jumping from end to end. Every time you perform a traversal mechanic, the camera also takes a cinematic angle to show a captivating environment and action. Talking about the graphics that Remember Me offers, this game has a very detailed environment because it has been strengthened by Unreal Engine 3. The lighting effects are also quite interesting to see the environment around Neo Paris.

In conclusion, Remember Me is an action-adventure game that has a strong and deep story. Almost all the other characters are very interesting to look at. The gameplay is quite entertaining, making this game quite an answer and satisfying the curiosity of gamers who have been waiting for this game to be released on June 4, 2021.
