RE 8 Village Guide Part 6: Getting the Azure Eye and Solving the Bell Puzzle

If you followed the previous RE Village guide part 5, and you have already sold or bought some equipment at the merchant, Duke. You’ll then be back on your journey to find some masks before you can leave Castle Dimitrescu, so read on for this guide to find your way around the massive maze.

Return to the Hall of the Four and enter the Merchant’s Room. You can use Flower Swords Ball in the diorama inside. Solve puzzles and use the balls to their destination to get other items that you can later sell to Duke.

Sell all of your valuable items here, except for items that can be combined, in which case you should save them for later. Once you get the dolla’dolla’ you can now upgrade your weapon. Once that’s all done, now go upstairs in the Main Hall and down the gold-floored corridor where you first saw one of Dimitrescu’s daughters. He’s still here so be careful.

There is a door in this corridor that you can now open using the Dimitrescu Key, so you will be in the Hall of Pleasure. In this room you can find one of the angel masks.”Mask of Pleasure“. In addition, there is also a treasure in the form of a Silver Ring stored in one of the drawers, just look for it there.

After getting all of them, then crawl through the fireplace to the Amrory or Armory. There you will get some ammo and Pipe Bomb. And don’t be surprised, after that you will be surprised by one of Dimitrescu’s daughters.

To beat him is quite easy, you just need to move the bookshelf on the wall. After moving the bookshelf to the side, you will see a crack in the wall. Throw a Pipe Bomb to let light into the room, so the vampire will be vulnerable.

Now finish him off with a few shotguns. Take the Crystal Torso from the corpse and also take the Mounted Animal Skull from the wall in the armory. Examine Mounted Animal Skull in your inventory and turn to look back. Then interact to release the screw, turning the Key Item into a regular Animal Skull.

Go back down the stairs and interact with the statue where you get one of the Angel Masks, the Mask of Pleasure. Replace with Animal Skull, then the exit will open.

Now Lady Dimitrescu will stake out the Hall. At the bottom of the stairs, there is a locked door in the Northeast or Northeast corner that you can now open. Fight the zombies you meet and enter the room. When you enter, a metal fence will rise from the ground, and here’s what you need to do:

  • There is a cracked wall in the left corner of the room and you have to use a Pipe Bomb to open it, a lit candle holder will be visible.
  • Shoot the unlit hanging torch closest to the lit torch, so that it swings toward the lit candle holder until the unlit torch becomes lit.
  • When you’ve done that, go behind the newly lit torch and shoot at the remaining hanging torches.
  • While it’s still swinging, run on opposite sides of the hanging torch that isn’t lit and shoot at the one that’s lit, so it will light up when both swing.
  • The fence will close and you can open the coffin to get the Azure Eye item

After successfully getting the treasure, now go to the Courtyard through the door that will lead you to the Opera Hall. Near the Opera Hall, take the stairs and head for the Library. Use the Iron Insignia Key to open the door.

Once inside, you will be surprised by one of Dimitrescu’s daughters. As with the previous fights with Dimitrescu’s other children, you have to make him vulnerable to light, only this time you have to pull the lever in this room to open the skylights, rather than destroying something to let the light in. This method is simpler.

Pull the lever, shoot him with the shotgun, keep repeating until he’s in pain. The lever is located on one of the pillars in the center of the room. When he dies take the Crystal Torso from his corpse. Take the other items in this room and head to the Hall of Joy, where the angel mask “Mask of Joy” is and then head to the Atelier room.
