Guide How to Run Android Apps or Games on PC
Say Android certainly not foreign to our ears. Yes, one of these operating systems has become increasingly popular, where almost all cellphones use the Android operating system. Even so, there are people who want to run android applications or games on their PC or laptop. Some of them do it intentionally because they just want to play on a PC or some of them don’t have an android phone / their cellphone is broken.
In this tutorial, Nesaba Media will explain how to run an android application or game on your PC or laptop. Of course to do this we need third party software or people often call it Android Emulators.
There are several android emulators that I have tried, including Bluestack, NOX, Memu and Koplayer. My choice fell on Memu, besides being lightweight, this emulator is also responsive and features quite complete. For PCs or laptops that have high specifications, it doesn’t matter which emulator to use, because it doesn’t feel too heavy. Unlike a PC or laptop that has specifications mediocreFor example, you only have 2GB of RAM, of course choosing a lightweight and responsive android emulator needs to be done so that your PC doesn’t become slow, crash even bluescreen.
Regarding features, Memu is indeed inferior to Bluestacks, but unfortunately (in my personal opinion), Bluestacks is quite heavy and takes up a lot of RAM resources on our PCs.
How to install Android emulator ‘Memu’
1. First of all you have to download emulator here.
2. When finished downloading, double-click the program. You will be asked to specify the installation location of the program, leave it alone default and select Install.

Wait a few minutes for the installation process
3. After the installation process is complete, select Launch to open the emulator.
When you first use Memu, you will find a notification like the one below. The notification contains, that we are told to activate Hardware Virtualization, where this feature can later increase the performance of the Android application or game that we run up to 10X.

However, after I enabled this feature in the BIOS, I didn’t get a performance increase but the program crashes frequently and is slow. I’m not sure what caused this, so I disabled this feature again. So I recommend choosing Continue to use and tick No more reminder, so that this notification does not always appear when you open the program. Here’s the front page of the Memu android emulator:

Steps on how to install an application or game
Well, you have installed an android emulator on your PC, that means you are using the android operating system, just like on a cellphone. To install an application or game from the Playstore, the steps are as shown below:
1. First double click the Play Store icon. To access the playstore and other Google products, you must first add a Gmail account. If you already have a Gmail account, please select Existing. If not, you can read my article which discusses how to create an email in gmail.

2. Enter your email address and password. Make sure the email address and password entered are correct. Then click the button I gave the arrow to continue with the next configuration.

Select OK to agree to the terms from Google
3. For the payment information page, select NO THANKS.

4. Then for backup and restore settings, leave it default.

5. Below is the initial view before entering the Play Store, select GET STARTED.

Running games via Memu
After finishing the playstore configuration as I explained above, I tried to play my favorite android game, namely Plants vs. Zombies. The game runs smoothly, almost no lag is found as long as I play this game.

A little note from me
One day before I published this article, I tried 4 android emulators on the same day namely Bluestack, Koplayer, NOX and Memu. It is undeniable, the features offered by Bluestack are quite complete compared to the other three emulators. However, using Bluestack consumes a lot of resources, so if you use Bluestack and other programs simultaneously (multitasking), you will definitely feel lag.
You need to know, there are also some games that don’t work well with Memu, as well as the other three emulators, there are some games that also don’t run well or even often crash.
While Koplayer and NOX are actually pretty good, but these two emulators are heavier than Memu. All my opinions regarding these four emulators may not be entirely correct. It could be that user A is more suitable for using Bluestacks or user B is more suitable for using NOX, that’s another name match, Hehehe. ️
How? Did you manage to run android apps or games using Memu? Or do you have your own favorite android emulator? Let me know via the comment box provided.
