Will Gigabyte be successful in selling its Windows 8 tablet? It all depends on the strengths and weaknesses of this newcomer, and on this occasion the Pemmzchannel Team will investigate this.

Wrapped in brown cardboard which looks very standard, Gigabyte delivers a package that is arguably complete, such as synthetic leather cover bags, detachable keyboards, adapters, driver CDs, manuals, to a microfiber cloth to clean the tablet.
Design
Nice design offered by Gigabyte Padbook S1185. You’d think this tablet was like Microsoft Surface at a glance. The material used by the Gigabyte Padbook S1185 is mostly coated plastic except for the metal backrest. Even though it uses a lot of plastic, you can get a premium impression from this tablet through the bronze colored finishes provided by Gigabyte.

Rubber Pad as many as two you can find at the bottom of the tablet. This rubber pad functions as a holder and protector of the tablet so that it don’t hit right away with his body.

We can compare the specifications of the Gigabyte Padbook S1185 with MSI Slider S20 as a performance comparison because they are in the same market class. The performance shown by the Gigabyte Padbook S1185 is indeed not as good as MSI’s S20 due to the difference in the level of the processor and GPU used. Here are some results of benchmark testing conducted by the Pemmz Team.
In addition to benchmark testing, the Pemmz Team also conducts daily usage testing. The Gigabyte Padbook S1185’s Full HD touchscreen display is visible very responsive and in our tests we never felt any lagging. The Pemmz team tried to install the Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended program on a Gigabyte Padbook S1185 and it turned out to be Photoshop to run smoothly.
High resolution main camera 5 megapixel able to provide excellent image results pretty good in an outdoor room but when the Pemmz Team tested it in an indoor room where the light intensity was reduced, the image resulted in more or less noise. While the front camera produces images like a webcam on mid-end Gigabyte notebooks on the market.
If you often hold the tablet with your hands, then we do not recommend you to use the Gigabyte Padbook S1185 in this way, because the temperature on the back body is fairly high. hot enough especially when it’s full-loaded.
Conclusion
With a price that ranges from 11 million rupiah, this tablet from Gigabyte can be said to have a higher price than similar devices, but all these prices can be paid with premium design and good performance. Photoshop-class programs can run smoothly on the S1185. The Gigabyte Padbook S1185 is a tablet PC that is perfect for professionals and business people who want to replace their notebook with a tablet without losing the ‘feel’ of a notebook.
