EHOME Gets Direct Invite Slot at MDL Macau 2021
The surprise came from MDL Macau 2021, where previously there were only 8 teams participating in the 5th Dota 2 Pro Circuit minor tournament. But suddenly Mars Media announced 1 additional direct invite team that will compete at MDL Macau, namely EHOME. With the presence of EHOME, there will be 9 teams that will compete in MDL Macau 2021.
This decision was taken after EHOME did not get permission to participate in the qualifying round held by the Dota 2 Professional League. Negotiations between Mars Media and Valve finally led to the decision to include EHOME via direct invite as an additional participant.
EHOME Profile Towards MDL Macau
This Chinese team is arguably a team that has been in competitive competition for quite a long time, since long ago there have been several cases and incidents that occurred between EHOME and ACE as the China Esports Association.
One of them is when Faith_bian and y`, former Wings Gaming players who later entered the EHOME roster. EHOME was immediately banned and not allowed to take part in the tournament organized by ACE. At that time, it clearly caused a big controversy because EHOME only got a ban on tournaments organized by ACE and could still take part in various other international tournaments, including those organized by Valve.

With the presence of EHOME, it means that a total of 3 teams entered MDL Macau through the direct invite system after previously there were Virtus Pro and LGD Gaming which also got direct invite slots. Famous figures have also confirmed to attend MDL Macau, Fan ‘rOtk’ Bai (VGJ Thunder & Offlaner coach), Xu ‘BurNing’ Zhilei (ex Invictus Gaming), Gosh (TV actor) and Mario Ho Yau Kwan (billionaire & The son of Casino owner Stanley Ho has confirmed his attendance at MDL Macau 2021.

The MDL Macau Minor Tournament has a total prize pool of USD300,000 (approximately IDR4.05 billion) and 300 points to be accumulated in the total points to determine the direct invite to The International 8. The tournament itself is planned to be held on 8-10 December 2021.
