Dota 2 – ESL One Frankfurt 2021 Preview

ESL One Frankfurt 2021 will start today. This premier class tournament promises an exciting and tight match. ESL One Frankfurt is an annual Dota 2 tournament organized by ESL and this year is the third time ESL One Frankfurt has been held. This year there were eight teams competing for the $250,000 initial prize which was added to the in-game ticket sales to a total of $311,000 or around 4 Billion Rupiah. The eight teams divided into the two groups are OG, Team Liquid, Alliance and Vega Squadron who are members of Group A. Meanwhile, OG, Na`Vi, Virtus.Pro, and Complexity are members of Group B.

OG

OG is the first team to win two Dota 2 Majors from Valve. The winner of the Manila Major departed for ESL One Frankfurt 2021 with the expectation that the champion favorite was pinned to them. Even though they didn’t have a long way to go at the Manila Major, they were able to win at least one game from each draw. It shows that they can face anyone and all they need is consistency.

Vega Squadron

Vega is just a team of all the teams that competed in Frankfurt which can be said to be a bit sketchy. Vega only attended three major tournaments in 2021, so there’s not much to tell with this team. But one thing is for sure, Vega has a very talented team. Even last year they were able to win ESL One New York 2021 after leveling EG, iG and Team Secret. Na`Vi

Complexity is usually a consistent team with multiple finishes above the top eight in various international tournaments. With the Manila Major over, Complexity must put the loss behind them and evaluate themselves to face ESL One Frankfurt 2021, as well as The International that is in sight.

Fnatic

This Southeast Asian powerhouse has had a consistent performance since the last Shanghai Major. Fnatic’s performance at the Manila Major can also be judged as a very good performance. Virtus.Pro attended ESL One Frankfurt 2021 neither through qualification nor directly invited.
