For me, until now I have not replaced this cellphone because I feel that I can still explore this cellphone. One of them by doing some tweaks in terms of its software.

In terms of hardware or physical, the xiaomi redmi cellphone has the right size. Very nice to grip. It may not be as comfortable as holding the iPhone 6, or Samsung S8.

But for me this is the cheapest option for diarrhea that I can get.

Some problems, such as the phone heating up quickly, or lag sometimes appear. Things like that make the mind to just replace this cellphone. But I always try to make this cellphone comfortable for me to use again.

Not to mention when watching the latest cellphone review videos on YouTube. It feels like my cellphone is getting farther and farther away from what is called a smartphone today. Ckckckckck.

Really this thought sometimes drifts off by gadget reviewers on youtube there.

How do I optimize and maximize the performance of my xiaomi redmi 4x

The alternative that I did later on my favorite redmi 4x was to do optimizations like,

1. Change the custom rom Redmi 4x

Aren’t you tired of looking at the old miui look? Maybe some people agree with me to have a completely different menu look.

Like the google pixel display for example. Which prioritizes the function of the cellphone and the convenience of using the cellphone. No ads appear, etc.

By changing the custom rom I got a lot of changes.

Not only in terms of appearance, but also feel better hp performance. When I have installed a custom rom, I always feel like I just bought a new cellphone. A fresh look, and better performance.

After I installed the custom rom, I definitely installed the mandatory applications, such as whatsapp, line-lite, telegram, gmail, youtube, notepad, and the pubg mobile game.

If the standard functions such as running the whatsapp application, line, and so on may be fairly light, and can still be handled by my redmi 4x. But to make me sure that this rom is better than the previous rom is to do a pubg mobile game test.

Running heavy applications such as pubg will make the phone’s performance reach its maximum. With the newly installed ROM software, it will be seen how good the performance of my xiaomi cellphone is.

I don’t know how many custom roms I have installed on this cellphone. All have advantages and disadvantages. And I’ve never been satisfied with just one custom rom.

Custom rom developers always provide the latest updates, they can easily be found on forums. I myself monitor it on the redmi 4x forum on facebook and telegram.

The ones on Facebook may be local around Indonesia, but on telegram they are more sadistic. The latest updates can be obtained quickly directly on the official forum of the rom maker, such as the aex rom forum, botlegger rom, arrow os, pixel experience, and others.

Tips: for those of you who like to mutually change roms too, it’s a good idea to install Telegram then look for a forum that discusses your smartphone there. Telegram is made for people who are actively playing on the forum.

If not satisfied, I proceed to the second stage, namely,

2. Changing the kernel

The next tweak I did was to find out what kernels were suitable for the rom I was installing.

Here it should be noted that not all kernels are suitable to be installed in all versions of android. The kernel is like the bios of a cellphone. When tampered with will affect its performance. In the bios of your computer you may have changed the size of your vga ram. Well, that’s the function of the kernel.

By changing the kernel on Android, it has an effect on ROM performance.

There are many kernels that I have tried, such as rockstar, gabriel, clarity, wolf, jaguar, and others.

I’m currently using the Rockstar v5 kernel with the Pixy os (android based Pie) rom.

After I changed to a newer, better version of the kernel, I tried the pubg game again.

If the game runs smoothly, it means the rom is good, and I need to give a sign that the settings are good settings for redmi 4x.

After I’ve done the two things above, but haven’t gotten any satisfaction, I’m back to the first method.

But if it’s been a long time in a running rom and kernel, that’s great. I may feel bored from the physical/hardware side.

3. Replacing the Redmi 4x cellphone case

Yep, which of you often goes to the cellphone shop? Then look for a good case.

By replacing the cellphone case it feels like new. In terms of grip feels comfortable in the hand.

I already have many cases for xiaomi redmi 4x. I bought the hard case to the soft case.

And currently I’m using a soft case casing. The shape is very simple, plain black, and this is the thinnest case I’ve ever installed on my cellphone.

The final word

Maybe I’m someone who gets bored easily with something. By changing the system on the cellphone, and changing the casing will slightly cure my desire not to buy a new cellphone.

Maximizing the performance and optimization of my xiaomi redmi 4x cellphone is fun. It’s more fun than buying a new cellphone that already has high specs.

I don’t know how long I will finally replace my redmi 4x cellphone.

My xiaomi redmi 4x cellphone is even better after optimization.

Maybe as long as there is no significant damage to the hardware, maybe I will still use this cellphone. But I don’t know.
