How to Overcome Cropped Print Results
When the printout is cut off, we cannot directly blame it on the printer side. Because it could happen because of the settings from Microsoft Word that are not appropriate. Therefore, we must check the size of the paper we use to print the resulting Word document. To solve this truncated printout I will give it in 3 ways. Here’s the full explanation.
1. The First Way
The first way to deal with cropped printouts in this Word document, we must carefully check the paper size in the Microsoft Word settings. Here’s how to fix the first truncated print.
1. Open the Word document you want to print, then click the menu Page Layout located on the top toolbar. Then click menu Size in the Page Layout menu. Choose the button More Paper Sizes…
2. After that, the Page Setup Window will appear. Click menu Paper and make the paper size settings as in the image below. Choose paper with size Legal and change it Height Becomes 33. After that click OK.
3. Now, you can try printing the Word document again.
2. Second Way
If the first method still doesn’t work, you can try this second method. In this second way, we only rely on the ruler found on the Word worksheet. Here are the ways.
1. Open the Word document you want to print, then look at the left side. On the left side of the Word page, you will see the ruler as shown in the image below. Drag the blue ruler limit to the number 28 like in the picture.
2. Then automatically, the text content limit will increase as shown in the red arrow in the image below.
3. The third way
If the two methods above are also not able to overcome the cut off print results in Word documents, then you can use this third method. This third method is the last way to deal with truncated printouts. Here’s step by step.
1. Open the word document that you want to print, then look at the top side of the Word page. Then the ruler will look like in the image below. Double click on the ruler blue as in the picture.
2. Then the Page Setup Window will appear as shown in the picture, click menu margins. Look at the section bottom, change the value to 5 cm. Then click OK.
3. And look at the results of the Word document below. the space at the bottom will look bigger than before. Well now you can reprint your Word document.
