3 New Things in Asia Pacific Predator League 2021

Telset.id, Jakarta – The eSport competition specifically for the Asia Pacific region, the Asia Pacific (APAC) Predator League was again held by Acer this year. After Indonesia, which had hosted last year, now it is Thailand’s turn to host the 2021 APAC Predator League.

“Countries are following more. Now there are 14 countries participating in the Predator APAC,” said Acer Indonesia President Director, Herbet Ang, at the 2021 Asia Pacific Predator League Kick Off event, in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/10/2021).

There are a number of changes or new things in the 2021 APAC Predator League competition, compared to last year’s competition. One of them is the number of participating countries

If previously only 8 teams were selected from 8 countries, now Acer invites the best 14 teams that have been selected from 14 countries.

The respective countries are Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

“The best talents in Indonesia will continue to be honed, so they can make Indonesia proud at the international level,” he said.

APAC Predator League 2021 also offers much bigger rewards. If in last year’s competition, Acer gave a total prize of IDR 2 billion, now the APAC Predator League 2021 event provides a total prize of USD 400 thousand or IDR 6 billion.

“The main prize is USD 400 thousand USD or around Rp 6 billion,” said Acer Indonesia Gaming Series Product Manager, Andreas Lesmana.

Also in its second year, the APAC Predator League 2021 presents two games which will be contested, namely Dota 2 and Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).

Acer itself will hold the qualification stage for two months, starting in November 2021 at 16 iCafes spread across 14 cities in Indonesia.

To register, the Indonesian eSport team can register on the APAC Predator League 2021 official website.

“Hopefully what we send later for grand final in Thailand to become the first champion in the 2021 Predator League, that’s the hope,” concluded Andreas. (FHP)
