Want Win Streaks? Run these 5 League of Legends: Wild Rift Strategies

League of Legends: Wild Rift is a MOBA game made by Riot Games that relies heavily on strategic calculations to win. Reflecting on the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Pre Season 2021 competition which is currently being held, you can see some of the strategies shown by the participating teams.

The competition shows a simple strategy but is interesting to watch and easy to learn. Here are five simple strategies in the League of Legends game.

Bush and Ambush

Bush and Ambush or better known as ganking, can be the key to determining a team’s victory. Ganking is often done to get a good profit from gold nor exp.

A successful gank can give you an advantage in the game and also slow down your opponent’s progress when looking for gold and exp. By ganking, you will also be able to help lane teammates who are struggling and give time lag to do push or objective like the Baron. But in LoL, ganking will be more difficult because of the Ward or Trinket Lens feature.

Counter Pick

Champion selection in Wild Rift is indeed very important and has been proven to be often used by pro-players. The goal is for the Champion you choose to be able to compensate or overcome opponents who are in the field lane the same one.

For example, when the opponent used Champion Lee Sin to become jungler, you can choose Champion Vi or Amumu to give counter for the agile movements that exist in each Lee Sin kit. Not only that, this strategy greatly helps the chances of winning team-war or solo-war as well.

Counter Items/Build

Items or Build is another important side that you should not miss. In item selection, you must really understand the function of each item. So with a random build, you will have difficulty throughout the game.

Counter item/build aims to increase the ability of your Champion to be stronger in order to make the opponent feel disturbed when dealing directly with you. For example, when your opponent makes full armor or defense, you can buy penetration items to penetrate the opponent’s armor.

Split Push

Split push is a technique that makes one lane busier. In other words, you can also push against the other side lane while your teammate presses the other side lane and restrains opponents who try to return to base.

This strategy is often used with the right timing to destroy the turret on one side.

For example, when 4 of your teammates try to penetrate the opponent’s defense or turret from the direction of Dragon Lane, you can try to attack them from the direction of Baron Lane. When you try to enter continuously, all of your teammates can try to slowly retreat.

The goal is that all enemies who do team-fights on Dragon Lane and will be provoked forward. So you can single-handedly destroy the enemy turret.

Backdoor

This technique requires ingenuity and high observation. Because, the backdoor is a way to attack the opponent’s base secretly without the help of minions at all.

Although it is difficult to apply, you can try this strategy because in Wild Rift there is a ward feature that makes it easy for you to do it with the help of teleport shoes.

The help of the teleport boots can make it easier for you to rotate. However, you need an object to be a teleport target. And Ward is the perfect choice for implementing a backdoor strategy.

As a tip, try to place a ward in a bush that is not visible to your opponent. When you teleport, your movements will not be read by the opponent.
