[Spesial TGS 2021] Kingdom Hearts 3 First Impressions

More unique with a system called Attraction Attack.

Square Enix be one booth which is our top priority at Tokyo Game Show and Kingdom Hearts 3 on our list of games we had to try on the first day of Business Days. At its booth, Square Enix prepared a demo for Kingdom Hearts 3 that can be played on both Business Days and Public Days. Seeing the long and long queue, we couldn’t wait to try it.

Here we can try the 2 worlds provided, Olympus and Toy Box. At Olympus we were first given a control tutorial. In Kingdom Hearts 3 the controls are relatively easy for both beginners and veteran players. Sora’s movements are now also more varied because in Kingdom Hearts 3 Sora can walk on walls vertically. At the end of the Olympus stage, we faced a giant boss. The way to fight it also has variations such as hitting his feet first before attacking his head.

In Kingdom Hearts 3 there is a new system that is Attraction Attack. At Attraction Attack, we can issue some kind of rides that are in Disney theme parks. The type of ride that comes out of this Attraction Attack depends on the situation or situation stage which we come to. Like at Olympus, the type of ride that comes out of Attraction Attack is the Big Thunder Mountain Raildroad.

On stage Our Toy Box will enter the world of Toy Story and meet Woody and his friends. When entering the world of Toy Story, Sora, Goofy and Donald become the same toy as Woody. The Toy Box stage ends in a place called Galaxy Toys. Here Sora can get into the toy robot and fight the existing enemies.

Overall, we feel something “fresh” from Kingdom Hearts 3. In addition to the new world that can be visited here, the Attraction Attack mechanism is also very interesting where we can see the rides in Disney theme parks. Sora’s more agile movements also make Kingdom Hearts 3 more fun to play.
