Half of Mobile Legends Players Around the World Are From Indonesia

For the first time, Moonton Shanghai Technology as the developer of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) game, held a conference in Indonesia. Titled “MLBB Indonesia Conference: A Legendary Future with Indonesia”, this conference aims to show MLBB’s appreciation for players in Indonesia and provide an overview of the company’s plans in the future to provide a better gaming experience.

The conference which was held at the Shangri-La Hotel on Wednesday, September 5 2021 was also broadcast live on the official MLBB website on Facebook and was also attended by the voice of the hero Layla, Jessica Iskandar, professional players, and strategic partners.

At the event, the achievements of MLBB in Indonesia were described, including the total number of players reaching 100 million players from almost all regions in Indonesia, half of which are active players. MLBB itself currently has more than 200 million players spread all over the world.

“More than 50 million monthly active users from Indonesia, and that is the largest compared to other countries,” said Dimaz Wiratama S, Operational Manager of Moontoon Indonesia.

As the biggest supporter of Indonesian e-sports, MLBB has the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) competition as well as the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) tournament. Both have reached more than ten million online viewers, one hundred thousand offline viewers, and are supported by more than 10,000 teams.

With the high popularity of Mobile Legends in Indonesia, Moonton has collaborated with companies in the country, including cellular operators to national television.

“We cooperate with many local partners, including cellular operators by providing special data packages. We have a strong commitment in Indonesia, including collaborating with local companies, because Indonesia is indeed the number one market for us,” continued Dimaz.

For future plans, Moonton will establish an Indonesia branch office in Jakarta and build a local customer service to listen to the voices of the players and open opportunities for collaboration with companies in Indonesia to improve MLBB services. MLBB will also develop a communication system and feedback system where players can provide an assessment of MLBB services and others. Thus, MLBB will increasingly understand and develop with Indonesia.

MLBB also opened the first official flagship store at JD.ID to give fans access to buy official MLBB products.
