[Genshin Impact] Items To Prepare For Zhongli
Still part of the 1.1 update, Genshin Impact there will be another new character, Zhongli. This character has indeed appeared and is part of the main storyline in Liyue. Interestingly, Zhongli will be a playable character that will be available via Wish (Gacha) in the next banner after Childe.
For those of you who are eyeing Zhongli in the next banner, here’s a list of items you must have farming starting from now.
Zhongli Upgrade Items
Based on info from Reddit, the items needed to upgrade Zhongli’s talents require the talent book “Gold” and items that can be obtained from the Slime monster. Meanwhile, to unlock the level cap Zhongli requires a mix of Topaz, Basalt Pillars, Cast Lapis, and items from Slime.
Gathering everything you need might seem a bit of a hassle, but here are a few places where you can start looking for the above items.
Location of Cast Lapis
You can find Cor Lapis at Mt. Hulao and Mt. Aozang. For details, you can visit the article Location of Cast Lapis.
It is estimated that it takes a total of 168 Cast Layers to unlock all levels of Zhongli’s caps.
Farm Slime
Zhongli needed Slime Condensate, Slime Secretions, and Slime Concentrate to level up his character. This item is also a necessity to increase his talent level and raise his level cap.
These three items are found by defeating the Slime. Slime Condensate is dropped by dead Slimes, Slime Secretions are dropped by Slimes level 40 and above, Slime Concentrate is dropped by slimes level 60 and up.
A good place to look for any kind of Slime directly is at the bottom of the cliff overlooking the Guyun Stone Forest in Liyue. If you descend into the watery area, you will find a small group of Slimes waiting for you to arrive.
You can also find Slime as one of the enemies in Daily Quests or in Leyline Outcroppings missions. Both of them had a high chance of spawning Slimes. To ascend Zhongli, you need a total of 18 Slime Condensate, 30 Slime Secretions, and 36 Slime Concentrate.
Farm Talent Book “Gold”
You will need a lot of books from the “Gold” talent book series to maximize Zhongli’s talent. This series consists of Teachings of “Gold,” Guide to “Gold,” and Philosophies of “Gold.” You can find all three from the Taishan Mansion domain which is located in Jueyen Karst. You must first reach Adventure Rank 26 to access the domain and it can be visited on a Wednesday or Saturday or Sunday.
Farm Topaz dan Basalt Pillar
Like all Geo characters, Zhongli needs items named Prithiva Topaz and Basalt Pillars for Ascend. Prithiva Topaz and all its variants are obtained by defeating the Geo Hypostasis boss that you can find in Guyun Stone Forest. Sometimes you’ll get Topaz from Wolf of the North and can buy it in small quantities from the gift shops in Liyue and Mondstadt.
If you need Basalt Pillars, the only way to get them is to defeat the Geo Hypostasis boss in Liyue.
For Prithiva Topaz, Zhongli will need one sliver, nine fragments, nine chunks, and six gemstones. If there is an excess, all Prithiva Topaz can be crafted to the next level via the Alchemy Station. Zhongli would need 46 Basalt Pillars in total to max out.
