[Genshin Impact] Elemental Crucible Event Guide

This week, miHoYo finally held its first event for Genshin Impact called the Elemental Crucible. Actually, the Elemental Crucible event they held when Genshin Impact still in the CBT stage. So what exactly is the Elemental Crucible event like?

In short, in the Elemental Crucible event you will fight a horde of monsters in an arena (Thousand Winds Temple). Later, while defeating a horde of monsters, you are asked to collect element cubes and put them in a tower in the middle of the arena.

How to participate in this Elemental Crucible event? Here’s a brief guide about the inaugural event Genshin Impact this.

Condition

This event menu can be opened when you have reached an Adventure Rank (AR) of more than 20 and completed the Prologue: Act mission, “For a tomorrow without tears”. If so, go to Mondstadt and meet NPC Timaus there. Take the mission called “Alchemy, Great Breakthrough” to be able to participate in the Elemental Crucible event.

Process

After opening the event, you are asked to go to the Thousand Winds Temple and start the challenge. When the challenge is opened you will automatically enter the co-op session and join the world of other players. You can also join the world of friends first and then start this challenge together.

When the challenge begins, you must defeat the enemies that appear and collect the Elemental Clots that are scattered in the arena. Bring the Elemental Clot into the Elemental Crucible in the middle and the chemical process will take place. Remember, time is very limited.

Up to three Elemental Clots can be collected at once, but must be the same element. For example, you have collected Elemental Clot Pyro. Then when you take Cyro, the Elemental Clot Pyro that you have taken will be lost. In addition, Elemental Clot will also disappear when you are hit by enemy attacks.

When the yellow bar at the top is finished, you have completed the challenge and can claim the reward by consuming 20 Resin. You will get EXP book and EXP for Adventure Rank.

You can also complete all event achievements to get Primogems and other valuable rewards.

Tips

Actually you can not use Resin to claim rewards when the challenge is successfully completed. You can still continue to run challenges without claiming rewards. Just a tip, for you new players, you don’t need to spend all the Resin you have to claim prizes. The reason is because new players still need Resin to get Ascend materials for weapons and characters.

However, for players whose AR is already high or stuck, it is highly recommended to claim rewards with Resin. Because, a gift in the form of an EXP book is very necessary when the characters you have need a lot of EXP for their level. Moreover, your character who has been able to reach level 70, really needs a lot of EXP.

So you can decide for yourself whether this Elemental Crucible event is the right moment to collect EXP books in order to maximize the level of your characters. Or you can just complete the event to get rewards by completing every challenge in the Alchemy Handbook.
