AMD Ryzen 5000G Processor Delivered To OEM?

Yesterday AMD announced that APU 7nm seri series Ryzen 5000G with code Cezanne has been sent to OEM with retail market availability coming later this year.

AMD announced three main 65W models spanning from four zen 3 cores to eight cores, accompanied by Vega graphics spanning from 6 graphics cores to eight.

AMD promises that the processor will be available later this year. Compared to Intel Core i7-10700, AMD claims the chip is 38% faster at content creation, 35% faster at productivity, and 2.17X faster at gaming.

This processor has good performance thanks to the built-in Radeon Vega graphics engine. AMD also provides plenty of benchmark comparisons, though compared to Intel’s 10th generation processors.

Like most Zen 3 processors, the chip Ryzen 5000G has improved the DDR4-3200 interface which is faster, it will certainly help in gaming performance. However, AMD stuck with interface PCIe 3.0 found in all APU current generation.

The chip will find 500 series and some 400 series motherboards. As expected, AMD also released three low-power 35W variants with a lower base frequency to suit limited thermal power and smaller builds.

ranks Ryzen 5000G consisting of four to eight cores, with the addition of the Zen 3 architecture which provides a 19% IPC increase over the Zen 2 architecture used in the previous generation Ryzen 4000G model. Noticeably higher frequency speeds throughout the range, with peak boost speeds weighing in at 4.6 GHz for the eight-core 5700G. While the previous generation model reaches 4.4 GHz.

Zen 3 architecture also provides higher L3 cache capacity than APU AMD previously. All chips come with a configurable TDP (cTDP) of 45W to 65W, to expand the range of potential use for Ryzen 5000G APU this top class.

Here’s the performance claim AMD Ryzen 5000G

AMD presents a lot of comparisons with Intel’s Core i7-10700 and Core i5 10-6000, but keep in mind that these are Intel’s previous generation Comet Lake processors. Given the ongoing GPU shortage, the arrival of the series Ryzen 5000G could be good news for gamers.

However, the CPU will only be available in systems that will be built in the future, and it’s likely OEM will announce a new system made previously with APU over the coming weeks. About the price AMD has not announced the official price of the processor.
