Who is Omo, LoL Wild Rift Boom Esports’ New Coach?

Boom Esports has officially received a coach for their LoL Wild Rift division. They chose a coach from Singapore, Leonard “Omo” Loh.

Omo himself before becoming the coach of LoL Wild Rift Boom Esports, was an assistant coach for the Resurgence team in Singapore.

Prior to training at Resurgence, he had coached at LoL Australia Gravitas team for approximately 1 year.

Omo is known as one of the trainers who is very analytical and will provide a lot of input as the coach of this new mobile game.

Omo also explained why he agreed to become the LoL Wild Rift Boom Esports coach:

“I chose BOOM because they are a well-known esports organization not only in SEA but also worldwide. They are also pioneers in Wild Rift according to my target”

His name might be a little bit famous when he was invited to be the coach of the GPL (Garena Premier League) All Star team who were invited to play at LoL All Star 2021 in Los Angeles.

At that time Omo was able to lead his team into the playoffs even though they had to fight All Star teams from China, North America and Latin America. They could win over a North American team that at that time had star TSM Bjergsen.

When in the playoffs they had to fall with a team from Taiwan, starring the new star of TSM at this time, namely SwordArt.

Boom Esports CEO Gary Ongko says the reason why he chose Omo

“He already has experience last season in coaching at OPL. I’m lucky he’s a free agent. So I want to find someone who knows more about this game. Right, LoL in Indonesia is never big on PC. I think he can be a coach for Boom’s future and find the right talent to represent us on the world stage.”

It looks like Omo and Boom Esports are currently in the process of selecting their LoL Wild Rift players. There are more than 3600 participants who want to become pro players for Boom Esports.
