Two Indonesian Teams Qualify for Play-off M2 World Championship 2021
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – M2 World Championship will enter the play-off round, Friday (22/1/2021). Two representatives from Indonesia, RRQ Hoshi and Alter Ego will compete with six other teams that have qualified for the M2 World Championship play-offs. In the play-off round, the eight teams that have been declared qualified have been divided into two brackets, top and bottom.
RRH Hoshi went smoothly in the group stage and secured the upper bracket playoff position. They beat Brazilian representatives DreamMax 2-0 and overthrew EVOS SG 2-1. RRQ Hoshi will meet OMEGA from the Philippines in the upper bracket playoffs.
While the other representatives of Indonesia, Alter Ego had to fight hard. In the group phase they were in second place, losing to Bren representatives of the Philippines. This second position puts Alter Ego in the group stage 2 against the representative of Russia Unique Devu. Alter Ego was able to win 2-0 and get a lower bracket playoff ticket.
In the upper bracket, there are the top teams from the past group stage, they are Burmese Ghoul, Bren Esports, Omega Esports, and the representative of Indonesia, RRQ Hoshi. Meanwhile in the carry bracket there are 10 Seconds Gaming, other Indonesian representatives, Alter Ego, Todak, and EVOS Singapore.
The eight teams will compete again to determine who will come out as the champion of the M2 World Championship. The first day of the M2 World Championship play-offs will open with a bottom bracket match.
In the lower bracket, the losing team will be eliminated from the M2 World Championship. The M2 Worlds Championship Mobile Legends Playoffs will start on January 22–24 and will be broadcast via YouTube and Nimo TV channels.
