These are Riot Games’ Top Priorities For LoL Wild Rift Right Now!

This December, League of Legends Wild Rift has expanded their open beta access to other regions.

Although the launch of the game was not so smooth, the Riot games team is working hard to fix the issues to improve the player experience.

On December 18, 2021, Riot has released a post about what they are doing and also their top priorities at the moment.

Expanding the Range of the Wild Rift

Brian “FeralPony” Feeney, Wild Rift’s design director, posted a blog discussing the current state of the game and what they’re doing to resolve the issues mentioned.

FeralPony explained that their main goal is to make LoL Wild Rift accessible to more players in different regions.

As Wild Rift’s access expands to people’s hands, there will be more fans of the game and Riot will receive more feedback on what the game should be developing.

Fixed in-game problems

In addition to expanding access to Wild Rift, Riot also wants to improve the gaming experience for all players who play the game.

Some of the key things that Riot wants to address soon include reducing or even eliminating in-game latency issues, increasing queue times, improving matchmaking and much more.

“We know many of you are frustrated with matchmaking, and you can rightfully expect a better experience there,” said FeralPony.

“Because matchmaking is so difficult to simulate, the live data we get from players is invaluable.”

FeralPony stated that some adjustments have been made to improve Wild Rift’s matchmaking system, but he and the development team will continue to look for the best solution.

In addition to the update to the matchmaking feature, Feral also added that they are working on major gameplay changes for Wild Rift.

Most likely players will see some new items and some changes to the game mechanics.
