“MPL’s policy is never to require esports organizations to be exclusive. For example, if organization A has a team to play in MPL Indonesia, that organization can also compete in the Wild Rift tournament,” said a WTM Today source.

In addition, competing teams can also create other game divisions even though they are bound by a contract with Moonton.

“Some teams do have commercial contract collaborations with Moonton. They can generate revenue and benefits through agreements and are bound by exclusive conditions for team branding. Each team that accepts the offer, can also refuse and disagree with the commercial program and can still continue to play in MPL,” continued WTM Today.
