SwordArt Joins TSM With Biggest Contract In LCS History!

SwordArt Joins TSM With The Richest Contract In LCS History!

North American esports finally has a bombastic priced player! TSM has signed Hu “SwordArt” Shuo-Chieh on a 2 year contract, worth USD$6 Million or Rp. 84.6 Billion.

TSM will pay SwordArt $3 million annually for 2021 and 2022. SwordArt, 23, born in Taiwan, comes from Worlds 2021 where he helped lead a team of young dark horses, Suning, to the Worlds 2021 finals.

Founder of TSM Andy Dinh told Washington Post that he saw TSM could become as big as Real Madrid or Barcelona. And this USD$6 Million is a small investment for a bigger future.

With his retirement the legend and icon of LoL LCS Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg and a really great performance at Worlds 2021 yesterday was, the right time and reason TSM dared to issue a contract of this magnitude.

This USD$6 million deal is now believed to be biggest contract in LCS history, surpassing previous contracts such as Jensen’s reported USD 4.2 million three-year contract extension with Team Liquid.

Dinh said he hopes SwordArt, who will be a starter in his position, replaces Vincent “Biofrost” Wang, will bring leadership and knowledge of how to win international matches into the team.

The TSM founder also said he sees the move as a signal that the North American team is ready to compete on the world stage.

TSM had to do a pretty big roster reshuffle due to the loss of 2 of their star players who retired. Bjergsen retired as their coach and it was Doublelift who surprisingly retired from the LoL pro scene.

Currently they have brought in 2 new players, PowerOfEvil and SwordArt.
