SpaceX Will Invest in Indonesia With Telkom

GAMEFINITY.ID, Denpasar – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has recently been discussed a lot in relation to SpaceX’s investment in Indonesia. SpaceX plans to invest its Starlink internet satellite in Indonesia.

What are SpaceX and Starlink? SpaceX is a space transportation company founded by Elon Musk while Starlink is a subsidiary of the company. Starlink itself is a satellite constellation project that aims to present a satellite-based internet communication system that is predicted to have high speed with a wide coverage area and a relatively affordable price.

“Given the geography of Indonesia, the role of satellite technology is very much needed to be able to accelerate the distribution of digital connectivity to remote areas of the archipelago,” said Telkom’s VP of Corporate Communication, Puji Pramono.

Telkom intends with Telkom’s collaboration with SpaceX so that Internet connectivity in Indonesia is more evenly distributed to remote corners of the country at the same time with relatively affordable prices and reliable signals.
