Shroud: "Valorant will be the Number 1 Esports FPS"
Shroud: “Valorant will be the Number 1 Esports FPS”
Valorant, which has not been around for a year, has become the center of attention of many players and esports organizations around the world.
The reason is, the FPS game released in June 2021 has made a very successful launch even though it was imported in the midst of the Corona Virus pandemic.
Valorant has many similarities with Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch, so the gameplay offered by this game also attracts the attention of players from both sides.
Since Valorant was developed by a developer as popular as Riot Games, there is certainly a lot of expectation regarding the development of this game in the world of esports.
Among them is Shroud who predicts that Valorant will beat the popularity of CS:GO and even League of Legends (LOL)!
Shroud’s Comments About Valorant Be Number 1
In his latest stream, the former CS:GO Cloud 9 star discussed Valorant’s potential in the esports scene.
Shroud stated that the reason Valorant has not yet dominated the FPS esports world is because the best teams from Europe and North America have not had the opportunity to compete because of this pandemic.
But he believes that if LAN (or offline) tournaments get underway, Valorant’s popularity will explode!

“Valorant will definitely succeed and they will do very well. Because they have the perfect recipe,” he said.
“Because like, CS numbers are dropping, but to be fair, CS did have success on LAN so that’s why they’re dropping, obviously if LAN were to come back things would be a little different.”
“But still, if Valorant confirms the right time to come to the LAN and the tournament starts, they will explode, even more than they already are.”

Of course, this is just a prediction from Shroud and we can’t know for sure if Valorant can rule when the LAN tournament will return.
But one thing we know, Riot Games also holds LOL, one of the biggest Esports games in the world.
Therefore, it is not surprising that Valorant can follow LOL’s success and Shroud’s prediction about Valorant becoming the number 1 Esports FPS in the world is indeed correct!
